About us George Mann is Managing Director of Learning Network Services. He has worked with senior executives and top faculty for over twenty years, creating programmes designed to make an immediate impact on company performance. LNS specializes in customized strategy driven learning for today's and tomorrow's leaders. He has consulted on learning and development issues with major U.S. and European corporations. Projects have included programmes for the top 200 managers of a global FTSE 100 company, a two-year development process for high potential managers in a European consortium of financial services companies, programmes for the top 100 managers of a Fortune 100 IT market leader and a programme for the high potential managers in a Fortune 100 medical technology company. Before this, as Head of Development and Learning for Digital Equipment Europe, George was responsible for satisfying the learning needs of all European employees, from technical training for service engineers to international executive development for top managers. In a ten year partnership with INSEAD and IMD, Europe's leading international business schools, he was responsible for implementing a series of tailored executive development programmes for Digital which directly supported the major changes occurring in the industry and in the company. He was subsequently made responsible for Digital's corporate wide executive development programme. His programmes have involved faculty from INSEAD, IMD (Lausanne), Stanford, Harvard, MIT Sloan School, Amos Tuck Dartmouth, Michigan, Babson and London. During seven years with Hewlett Packard, George built his career in HR management with positions in Training and Development, Recruitment and Compensation and Benefits. He was responsible for designing and implementing HP's first international sales and account management programmes, and HP's first international senior management programme. He became Head of HR for HP UK in 1978. George has served on several committees addressing the future of management development e.g. chairman of the Europace programme advisory group on Technology Management and the INSEAD advisory committee for Executive Education. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences on learning and technology. He has recently been appointed head of the Human Resource Management Masters degree at Webster University's Swiss Campus. He received his B.Sc. from Edinburgh University and an MA in Industrial Relations from Warwick University. |
