eBusiness Strategy

outline

The Financial Times Telecoms Supplement of Wednesday 17th July 2002 asks if management have addressed key questions such as:

  • Should you install a wireless local network?
  • How will you give workers remote access to corporate data?
  • Is it time to go for unified messaging – voice, email, faxes in a single box?
  • Are you making the most of internet telephony?

However for senior managers the issues are both broader and deeper.

Company executives are confronted with rapidly changing technology choices and selecting the right ones might be a “bet your business” decision. In order to make quality decisions at the strategy level, managers need to understand the forces driving these changes. And as technology continues to change, choices will always have to be made. As with the old adage “Give a man a fish-feed him for a day; teach a man to fish – feed him for life”, our workshop aims to provide frameworks which will equip senior managers to develop information technology strategies beyond the present context.

The objective of the eBusiness Strategy workshop is to:
  • equip managers with a clear view of the underlying forces driving information technology
  • idetify the necessary strategic conditions for a profitable business
  • understand technology decision making and the role of general management

Our eBusiness Strategy workshop addresses 5 key themes:

  • The Impact of the Internet on Established Industries
  • The Architecture of Electronic Commerce
  • The Information Value Chain and The Internet
  • The Transformation of Established Industries
  • The Impact of New Information Technologies on your Business
